Mcnuttndorff Landscapes are an inhouse design, construction and maintenance business who have been designing and building tailored gardens for over 15 years. Based in Melbourne, our team will see the garden detailing from concept design through to construction and maintenance. We are known for our naturalistic approach to design and the use of both local flora and exotics to give our gardens a sense of place. We create environments using the highest quality of materials, using local materials whenever possible.

We are growing and currently seeking the following two roles.

Role 1: Landscape Architect /Designer
An experienced and passionate Landscape Architect/Designer  required to assist with client correspondence, drafting and daily tasks required in our small design practice.

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Degree / qualification in Landscape Architecture or Landscape Design; or in your final year of study with previous experience in a landscape design office

  • Concept design and design documentation skills 

  • Ability to work autonomously

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Proficient knowledge of AutoCAD drafting and/or SketchUp

  • Experience in using Adobe InDesign & Photoshop

  • Proficient plant knowledge is preferred (you will learn on the job) -

Desirable:

  • Local government experience

  • Hand drawing skills

1 - 2 days per week initially (with scope to becoming a part-time role)

Role 2: Horticulturalist/Landscape Gardener

An experienced and qualified horticulturalist/landscape gardener required to join us in maintaining our plant focused gardens.

Work Experience and skills

  • Perform general duties including planting, mulching, pruning and general garden and plant maintenance

  • 2 days per week initially, with scope to becoming part-time to full-time

  • Demonstrated relevant experience in a similar role

  • Proficient plant knowledge is essential

Qualifications

  • Must have current valid Driver’s License - this is essential for the role

  • Other certificates including Cert 3 in Horticulture or equivalent, or 3-5 years experience working as a Landscape gardener in a similar role

Desirable:

  • An interest or experience with landscape construction - opportunity to increase the role by helping the Construction team

  • Your own Ute but not essential
